POV Tripod Bike Mount

Ladies and gentlemen, behold – a tripod taped and tied onto my bike holding a $2000 dollar piece of equipment. Smart, I know! I tested it vigorously, though. AKA: held my bikes weight with just the tripod. I figured the camera was safe, and it was. I did have one failure though when the camera was mounted onto the front of the bike…video of the catastrophe can be found on my YouTube.

Here’s the final result and a short .gif demonstrating the outcome. Full video with multiple angles should be up by the end of this year. *sigh* Just need some funding for a wack-load of tape. Or maybe hundreds of dollars to order Bogen Super Clamps and Magic Arms. One day!

  1. but how did you get it to stay attached? do you have any shots of where the pod meets the bike?

        Thats is a really cool idea and gives a wicked angle. just watch out for sign post and street lights hahaa (might smash your cam) ;)
