Chest Camera Filming Mount
Lately I’ve experimented with quite a few different angles for filming biking. Mostly all of them were a great success – but none of them offered a point of view aspect. I pondered a helmet cam, but seeing as how the camera itself weighs 2-3 pounds it can actually take quite a toll on your neck while riding, thus ruling out that possibility. (Even with a counterweight to ease the stress.)
So I came up with this little contraption; the chest cam mount. As always it’s made of simple house hold items. (I.E: Bread bag clamps to keep the neck strap shortened.)
I fitted it properly and securely, then after cut a hole in a shirt to wear over-top. It acts as a shield to hide all the ugly cable I have holding the camera on sturdy. And just FYI…the eyes…are…edited…
Result:

Short animated .gif to show the product…rather anti-climatic as someone told me but never-the-less it’s an example. In the future I’ll have a full video [with an improved angle] up in the videos section.
You might have to wait a minute for it to fully load and loop once.
